Saber, cuerpo y escuela: el uso de los sentidos y la educación somática

Pedraza addresses the intermingling of the education of the body with certain specific forms of knowledge that are present in the education given in primary and secondary schools. The bond between learning, power and body is analyzed: learning as a specific form of knowledge that is acquired in school; power as the potency of schoolchildren (part of a way of understanding their human condition, including the acknowledgement of their capacity to use reason, will and discipline), but also as the specific shape of the relationship between teacher and schoolchildren, and among all the agents involved in their education. Finally, the essay deals with the manner in which the body materializes in school situations, and how the student’s subjectivity is engaged to acquire corporeity (to be incarnated in a form), in order to obtain a specific type of knowledge.Este ensayo propone estudiar la forma en que se entrelazan la educación del cuerpo y algunas formas específicas de conocimiento presentes en la educación escolar. Se traza la ruta de un análisis interpretativo del vínculo entre saber, poder y cuerpo, en relación con el saber como una forma específica de conocimiento que se adquiere en la escuela; el poder como la potencia del alumno (como parte de una forma de entender su condición humana, que incluye las posibilidades que se le reconocen de usar la razón, la voluntad, la disciplina); y en cuanto forma específica en que se establece la relación entre el maestro y el alumno, y entre todos los agentes educadores que deben influir para que el alumno aprenda. En tercer lugar, se trata de la manera en que el cuerpo se materializa en circunstancias escolares, de la forma en que se involucra la subjetividad del alumno para conseguir una corporalidad (encarnarse de forma) que sirva a la tarea de adquirir un tipo de conocimiento específico
