Adaptation Of Oxidation Pounds Into Artificial Wetlands In Order To Sewage Treatment In The Bogota's Savannah. Technical Viability

En años anteriores las lagunas de oxidación o de estabilización eran una técnica pionera para el tratamiento de aguas residuales domésticas, su poco costo de construcción y su facilidad de operación hacían de éste sistema el preferido a la hora de diseñar sistemas de tratamiento de aguas residuales municipales. Con el pasar del tiempo y en algunos municipios por falta de monitoreo y control han ocurrido diferentes percances, ocasionando que la contaminación a distintos afluentes como el rio Bogotá aumente de manera considerable ocasionando daños ecológicos mayores. En la sabana de Bogotá y sus municipios, el uso de las lagunas de estabilización ha sido ampliamente establecido y como se dijo anteriormente con el pasar del tiempo su efectividad ha disminuido inclusive causando malestares entre la población como el mal olor y ríos constantemente contaminados. Actualmente, se hacen necesarias políticas para la conservación del medio ambiente, aunque se ha incrementado el interés por lo que ocurre a nivel ecológico poco se ha realizado para la implementación de nuevas técnicas en el tratamiento de aguas residuales domésticas. Diversos estudios alrededor del país y del exterior arrojan resultados favorables al uso de humedales artificiales como tratamiento de aguas residuales con diversas ventajas entre ellas el uso de plantas que permitirían el desarrollo de ecosistemas controlados con un alto valor ecológico. Así mismo los humedales artificiales tienen la particularidad de no generar lodos con cargas orgánicas lo que es una ventaja a la hora de su mantenimiento sin embargo aun con todas sus ventajas, el reglamento técnico del sector de agua potable y saneamiento básico aun lo considera como un sistema secundario o inclusive terciario, lo que evidencia que deben realizarse más practicas con este tipo de tratamiento. Por esta razón, se requiere establecer la viabilidad técnica de adaptación de lagunas de oxidación o estabilización a humedales artificiales lagunas con el fin de implementar un sistema más amigable con el medio ambiente y la población.In the last years lagoons of oxidation or stabilization were a pioneering technique for the treatment of domestic waste water, their little cost of construction and their facility of operation made of this system one of the most preferred at the moment of designing systems of treatment of municipal waste water. With the pass of the time and in some municipalities for lack of monitoring and control different mishaps have happened, causing that the pollution to different tributaries like Bogota River increases in a considerable way causing ecological mayor damages. In the Bogota’s savannah and its municipalities, the use of lagoons of stabilization have been widely established and as it was said before with the pass of the time its efficiency has decreased even causing discomforts among the population such as odor and constant contaminated rivers. Nowadays, they are needed policies for the conservation of the environment, though the interest has increased for what occurs in the environment few things have been carried out for the implementation of new techniques in the treatment of domestic waste water. Diverse researches around the country and abroad produce favorable results to the use of artificial wetlands as treatment of waste water with many advantages, among them the use of plants that would allow the development of ecosystems controlled with a high ecological value. Likewise, the artificial wetlands have the particularity of not generate muds with organic loads which is an advantage at the moment of its maintenance. However, even with all their advantages the technical regulation of the sector of drinkable water and basic sanitation it is still considered like a secondary system even tertiary, which demonstrates that more practices must be realized with this type of treatment. For this reason, it is needed to establish the technical viability of adjustment of lagoons of oxidation or stabilization to artificial wetlands, lagoons with the purpose of implementing a more friendly system with the environment and the population
