Scientific literature review on the patterns of the movements of birds in cities for the research line of connectivity and ecoholgical interaction at the Jardín Botánico in Bogota in the urban ornithology component

Es la urbanización una de las tendencias más sobresalientes del crecimiento de las ciudades en el mundo y una de la representación más destacada de la globalización, con alteraciones de orden antrópicas generando cambios negativos al ecosistema natural del planeta (Grimm et al., 2000). Como reporta las Naciones Unidas (2014), el sector urbano en Latinoamérica y el Caribe ha crecido tanto así que la población urbana es del 81%, generando alteraciones a los ecosistemas naturales, modificando las coberturas vegetales y el uso del suelo, disminuyendo gran cantidad de elementos vitales para la biodiversidad nativa (Grimm et al., 2008). Por esta razón, existe un gran interés por amortiguar los efectos que los procesos de urbanización pueden generar en la biodiversidad de la ciudad, así como lo plantea la Política Nacional para la Gestión Integral de la Biodiversidad y sus Servicios Ecosistémicos (PNGIBSE): ‘’reconociendo que la biodiversidad es un elemento que estructura la construcción de cualquier territorio que garantiza bienestar a los habitantes mediante la provisión de bienes y servicios ecosistémicos y que su presencia no se restringe a las áreas protegidas’’ (Quimbayo, 2016). Dando lugar a esta investigación que tiene como objetivo apoyar en la búsqueda de informaciónrelacionada con el proyecto de ecología urbana de la Línea Investigación de Conectividad e Interacciones Ecológicas de la Subdirección Científica del Jardín Botánico de Bogotá José Celestino Mutis (JBBJCM), en el que su propósito es el de contribuir a la sistematización de información comprendida sobre estudios de movimiento que hacen las aves a lo largo del paisaje urbano y estudios de conectividad funcional por técnicas en telemetría en ciudades que contribuyan a la planeación ambiental de áreas verdes de la ciudad.Urbanization is one of the most outstanding trends in the growth of cities in the world and one of the most outstanding representations of globalization, with anthropic alterations generating negative changes to the planet's natural ecosystem (Grimm et al., 2000).
