Basis for an interpretation of the local implementation sustainable development in Europe and Latin America

El propósito de este artículo es ofrecer un esquema de interpretación de los diversos problemas implicados en el proceso de implementación del desarrollo sostenible, en el contexto de las sociedades europeas desarrolladas y de las sociedades latinoamericanas en desarrollo. Asimismo, se destacan las fortalezas y retos de otras formas de alcanzar el desarrollo sostenible, por fuera de los modelos institucionales occidentalesThe object of this paper is to offer an interpretation of several problems implied in the implementation of the sustainable development, in the framework of developed European societies and Latin American societies in development. Likewise, the strength and challenges of other performance models to get a sustainable development different of western models are presented
