En Colombia los datos de presencia de enfermedades transmitidas por vectores tienen un problema de sobredispersión, esto quiere decir que más de un 70% de los municipios no tienen casos reportados de las enfermedades o simplemente no los ingresan en el aplicativo SIVIGILA del Instituto Nacional de Salud (INS), también dada la baja operatividad en el sistema de salud en el país, los registros de casos para algunos municipios se pueden concentrar en las grandes urbes, esto quiere decir que casos registrados en grandes áreas municipales como por ejemplo Bogotá en realidad no poseen un recuento de la enfermedad, si no esté conteo hace parte de las áreas cercanas con deficiencia en el sistema de salud donde en realidad se presenta esta enfermeda...
