In this article, a method to solve the multi-objective planning problem of electric power distribution systems isproposed by means of using a non-dominated sorting elitist algorithm (NSGA-II). This method considers four mathematical models, where fixed costs, variable costs, fixed and variable costs, and network reliability areconsidered as objective functions. The set of constraints is comprised of technical and operational criteria. When all mathematical models are solved common elements to the solutions with each model are found. This process is repeated until a final configuration of the system is found.
