During the last decades, China had issued a series of stringent control measures, resulting in a large decline in air pollutant concentrations. To quantify the net change in air pollutant concentrations driven by emissions, we developed an approach of determining the closed interval of the deweathered percentage change (DPC) in the concentration of air pollutants on an annual scale, as well as the closed intervals of cumulative DPC in a year compared with that in the base year.
