The purpose of this work is to characterise the vibro-acoustic behaviour of rectangular flat panels reinforced by “unconventional” stiffeners. Such panels are being increasingly employed in the aircraft industry in the case of composite fuselage, so that the assessment of the most efficient and accurate numerical techniques and modelling procedures to correctly predict their dynamic and acoustic behaviour is required.
