The influence on tunnel construction of karst and underground rivers is always an important problem in tunnel engineering. In order to demonstrate the rationality of backfill parameters and the effectiveness of supports under the influence of groundwater when a tunnel passes through a large karst cave, the finite element software FLAC3D was used for numerical analysis.
