Background: Palliative care is provided when illnesses is no longer curable, the aim is to relieve the patient from pain and suffering and strengthen the wellbeing. Previous research shows that communication is an important part of the nurse’s nursing work, and once it fails also trust and feeling safe fails in both the patient and relatives. The nurse has a big responsibility to care for every single patient uniquely along with their wishes and needs. Aim: To describe nurses’ experiences of palliative care at the end of life.
