To explore how the pedestal and adjacent layout of podiums around highrise office buildings affect the wind environment at the pedestrian height (1.5 m) of outdoor, a single highrise building in the area is selected as the object to analyze its position, height, windward side width and thickness of base type. The enumeration method is employed to obtain a variety of typical layouts, and CFD (computational fluid dynamics) simulation software Phoenics to simulate the outdoor wind environment. By comparison, the optimal layouts of pedestal and adjacent podiums is found.
