AN ANALYSIS OF FREE ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING ON INSTAGRAM PAGE: ENGLIVEN

Social media has a good influence on several aspects, including used for educational purpose as learning English, including Instagram. This research aimed to investigate the patterns of learning English language contents presented by Engliven Instagram page and to know how the learner’s’ responses towards learning English Language contents in Engliven Instagram page. This study looked at a sample of content posted between August and December of 2021. The research applied a qualitative research method using document analysis techniques to collecting data in Engliven Instagram account feed. The researcher filters the data information that has been obtained from August until December 2021 pandemic period, analyzing and interpreting the data and reporting the findings that have been obtained in data analysis table. The result of this research showed that in Engliven Instagram contents, vocabulary is the most presented content and the most viewer’s response to the Engliven Instagram content, are comments. Although comments have two types, namely negative and positive comments, this study found many positive comments such as compliments on the design of the posted contents. Since vocabulary contents were the most found one, it was concluded that Engliven Instagram can be useful for increasing vocabulary and learning English. The response also reaped positive results so that Instagram could be used for positive things and developing knowledge on this free platform
