Low dose rate brachytherapy is an internal radiotherapy technique for early prostate cancer. It consists of depositing radioactive seeds in the organ using needles inserted manually through the perineum under ultrasound imaging guidance. Despite the clinical success, this treatment is marked by many approximations inducing non-negligible side effects.
