Water splitting for renewable energy technologies necessitates the creation of low-cost, highly active, and stable electrocatalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER), which remains a challenging issue. Oxide-based catalysts, especially perovskites (ABO3), ruddlesden–popper perovskite (A2BO4) and pyrochlore-type oxides (A2B2O7), have attracted gotten much interest as electrocatalysts for water splitting because of their distinctive physical, chemical, and electronic properties.
