In the Information Society, e-learning is one of the most valuable strategy for education, which effectively can support “lifelong learning”. Although in the last years several systems and methodologies have been proposed for e-learning, the evaluation of an e-learning process is still today a very complex task, which involves in a cooperative way many stakeholders, each one with a specific skill and experience. In this paper, the main characteristics of an e-learning process are analysed and an effective participant-based framework for the evaluation of e-learning activities is presented.
