This paper focuses on the feasibility study of a concrete with cellular glass gravel aggregate. It is the beginning of a recently started experimentation. Cellular glass is an exceptionally light aggregate with good compressive strength. Due to these characteristics, it is an artificial inert material that offers a more sustainable alternative to expanded clay, because it is produced by the recycling of glass bottles. Cellular glass has impermeability characteristics that make it competitive compared to other artificial aggregates. In fact, the high water absorption value is a penalizing parameter that unites all the aggregates from the natural ones up to the expanded clay.
