This paper explores the multiple ways in which places and landscapes are portrayed in Apollonius of Rhodes’ Argonautica. Many different lands parade under the eyes of Jason and his comrades as they sail on the Argo. As an epic of travel, the Argonautica contains a huge number of geographical descriptions.
