Some features of the second-order Feynman Gell-Mann wave equation are discussed in order to show that (1) a statistical interpretation in terms of particles and antiparticles is possible, (2) the Dirac condition must be considered too restrictive, (3) no unwanted results arise from the use of this equation. © 1985 The American Physical Society
