Many studies abroad programs have been canceled as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Virtual learning or virtual mobility has been proposed as one alternative. Everyone seems to be under the impression that this is not working. This case study will provide some insights into the positive aspects of virtual programs by examining whether there is a difference between virtual learning and in-person courses in terms of learning improvement. It will seek to answer the research questions: 1) Can the virtual programs fill the vacuum created by the halt in the physical mobility of students, and 2) Can virtual learning continue to play a role on return to the pre-Covid-19 normalcy?
