We present a comprehensive analysis of the atomic and electronic structures of an amorphous material, amorphous carbon (a-C), with scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM)-derived techniques, four-dimensional STEM (4D-STEM), and STEM-electron energy loss spectroscopy (STEM-EELS).
