As a way to address the world’s waste concerns, application of cutting edge concepts and ideologies such as zero waste and circular economy are becoming increasingly popular. Zero waste can be seen as a new approach which implies that in a circular economy, there would be no “waste” to be wasted. Consumers of zero waste lifestyle like and use product which can be reused, recycled or repaired. It is a type of a lifestyle that strives to reduce waste, increase recycling and prevents excessive consumption. The purpose of this master thesis was to examine and analyse the knowledge of the zero waste lifestyle and recycling habits. Additionally, the research is used to determine the reasons why people do or do not choose to live this way of life and what is stopping them to do so. The research and the analysis of the obtained results indicate that people would live a zero waste lifestyle. It also confirmed three hypothesis and led to the conclusion that reusable bags are being used by a large number of people, lack of facilities is making the zero waste lifestyle difficult to live by and the zero waste lifestyle would be easier to attain if more products were designed to last longer
