Settlement is one of the important human needs for a place to live or a residential environment in human life. The urgency of solving problems related to settlements such as the placement of settlement facilities and infrastructure is still often inappropriate and the construction of settlements does not pay attention to suitable places to live in. This will result in an imbalance in the availability of facilities and infrastructure for the population so that a distribution pattern is formed. This study aims to: analyze the distribution pattern of settlements in East Purwokerto District, Banyumas Regency in 2010 and 2020, analyze the development and changes in the distribution pattern of settlements in East Purwokerto District from 2010 to 2020, analyze physical factors and socio-economic factors that affect the development and changes in the distribution pattern of settlements in East Purwokerto District in 2010 and 2020. The research method is image processing with image interpretation and digitization as well as nearest neighbor analysis and overlay. In 2020, Purwokerto Timur District has 6 villages where there are 3 villages that have a uniform pattern, 2 villages with a spreading pattern and 1 village with a clustered pattern. The settlement pattern in East Purwokerto District in 2020 is dominated by a uniform pattern. The settlement pattern of each village in East Purwokerto District from 2010 to 2020 has experienced settlement developments that can affect a settlement pattern.
