Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja dengan produktivitas kerja pada karyawan bagian pengolahan di PT. Perkebunan Nusantara IV Unit Kebun Sawit Langkat. Adapun produktivitas kerja adalah kemampuan seseorang dalam menghasilkan barang dan jasa dari berbagai sumber daya atau faktor produksi yang digunakan dengan waktu yang telah ditentukan dan adanya peran serta tenaga kerja atau karyawan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV Unit Sawit Langkat pada tanggal 13 September sampai 27 September 2016.
