Analysis of the Utilization of Coconut Fiber Waste as an Additive for Making Concrete Tiles

81Semakin cepatnya pertumbuhan manusia di masa kini,semakin bertambah pula pertumbuhan pembangunan perumahan untuk tempat tinggal penduduk,seiring juga dengan berkembangnya teknologi dimasa kini,maka kebutuhan atap genteng pada perumahan juga harus semakin baik kualitasnya.pada penelitian ini,penulis menambahkan limbah serabut kelapa pada pembuatan genteng beton yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh suhu pada ruangan,daya serap air,serta rembesan airnya yang akan dibandingkan dengan genteng beton normal.genteng beton dibuat sama dengan genteng biasanya yang ada di pasar penjualan.untuk pengujian suhu ruangan menggunakan satu sampel suhu ruangan yang dibagi 2 dan diberi panas 200 watt oleh bola lampu,dan untuk pengujian rembesan air dan daya serap airnya dibuat sesuai dengan Standart Nasional Indonesia(SNI) 0096:2007. Pada penelitian ini perbandingan persentase campuran semen:pasir yaitu 1:3 dengan variasi campuran serabut 1,5% , 2% , dan 3%. Dari hasil penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa, semakin besar campuran serabut kelapa maka semakin kuat genteng tersebut menahan suhu panas,dan semakin besar campuran serat semakin besar pula daya serap air yang terjadi pada genteng, hal ini merupakan bahwa penambahan serabut kelapa kedalam adukan genteng beton dapat menghasilkan genteng beton yang lebih kuat untuk menahan suhu panas dibandingkan dengan genteng beton normal. The faster human growth is nowadays, the more the growth of housing development for residents to live in, along with the development of technology today, the need for tile roofs in housing must also be of better quality. In this study, the authors added coconut fiber waste to manufacturing concrete tile which aims to determine the effect of temperature on the room, water absorption, and water seepage which will be compared with normal concrete tile. Concrete tiles are made the same as tiles usually on the sales market. for room temperature testing using one room temperature sample which is divided 2 and given 200 watts of heat by a light bulb, and for testing water seepage and water absorption is made in accordance with the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 0096: 2007. In this study, the percentage ratio of the cement mixture: sand was 1: 3 with a variation of the fiber mixture of 1.5%, 2%, and 3%. From the results of this study, it is found that, the greater the coconut fiber mixture, the stronger the tile will withstand hot temperatures, and the greater the fiber mixture, the greater the water absorption that occurs in the tile, this is that the addition of coconut fiber into the concrete tile mixture can produce Concrete tile is stronger to withstand hot temperatures compared to normal concrete tile
