The Effect of Using Glass Powder as a Sand Substitute on the Quality of Concrete K 175.

63Seiring dengan kemajuan jaman, setiap, produsen Maupun pabrik mebel mengemas produknya dengan bahan material kaca, baik itu untuk tujuan estetika maupun kepraktisan penggunaan, Sehingga menimbulkan banyak limbah terutama dikota kota besar, Hal ini yang menjadi alasan untuk memanfaatkan limbah kaca tersebut sebagai bahan substitusi untuk campuran beton pembuatan beton K 175 dengan menggunakan penambahan serbuk kaca sebagai bahan Substitusi semen dengan waktu perendaman 28 hari. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh terhadap sifat fisis dan mekanis beton K 175 dengan penambahan serbuk kaca, yang dilakukan dengan perbandingan bahan campuran mutu beton K 175 yaitu semen : pasir : kerikil : air adalah 1 : 2 : 3. Serbuk kaca dicampur dengan variasi: 0%, 5%, dan 10%, menggantikan sebagian fungsi semen dengan mengurangi massa semen sebesar massa serbuk kaca tersebut dan sebagai pembanding dibuat campuran dengan serbuk kaca 0%. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil kuat tekan yaitu 18,62 Mpa–19,78 Mpa, densitas 2,63 gr/m3– 2,1 gr/m3, dan penyerapan air 1,99% - 2,04%. Along with the progress of the times, every manufacturer or factory of mabel packs their products with glass material, both for aesthetic purposes and practical use, causing a lot of waste, especially in big cities, this is the reason for utilizing glass waste as a substitute material for K175 concrete mixture for making concrete by using the addition of glass powder as a cement substitution material with a soaking time of 28 days. This research was conducted to determine the effect on the physical and mechanical properties of K175 concrete with the addition of glass powder, which was carried out with the ratio of the quality mixture of concrete K175, namely cement: sand: gravel: water was 1: 2: 3.Glass powder mixed with a variation of: 0% , 5%, and 10%, partially replace the function of cement by reducing the mass of cement by the mass of glass powder and as a comparison made a mixture with 0% glass powder. The results showed that the compressive strength was 18.62 Mpa - 19.78 Mpa, density 2.63 gr/m3 - 2.1 gr/m3, and water absorption from 1.99% - 2.04%
