Kepercayaan diri (self confidence) merupakan faktor yang sangat menentukan dalam penyesuaian sosial karena setiap orang berprilaku sesuai dengan kemampuan dan potensi yang ada pada dirinya. Masalah yang terdapat di SMA Swasta Nurul Amaliyah adalah Mengetahui tingkat rasa percaya diri, tingkat penyesuaian social dan apakah terdapat hubungan antara rasa percaya diri dan penyesuaian sosial pada remaja kelas X yang sekolah di SMA Swasta Nurul Amaliyah Tanjung Morawa, oleh sebab itu penulis mengangkat permasalahan dengan judul Hubungan antara kepercayaan diri (self confidence) dengan Penyesuaian sosial (Social adjustment) pada Remaja kelas X di SMA swasta Nurul Amaliyah Tanjung Morawa. Adapun tujuan penelitian yang akan dicapai yaitu untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara kepercayaan diri dengan penyesuaian sosial Remaja kelas X di SMA swasta Nurul Amaliyah Tanjung Morawa. Metode dalam penelitian ini ialah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan jenis kuantitatif korelasional yang menggambarkan suatu pendekatan umum untuk penelitian yang berfokus pada penafsiran kovariasi diantara variabel yang muncul secara alami. Teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan rumus korelasi Pearson Product Moment dengan bantuan program SPSS for windows. Dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 80 Orang Remaja kelas X di SMA swasta Nurul Amaliyah dan pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara Total Sampling karena jumlah populasi yang kurang dari 100. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil korelasi product moment diketahui bahwa terdapat hubungan antara kepercayaan diri dengan penyesuaian sosial pada remaja kelas X di SMA swasta nurul amaliyah, dimana r_xy= 0,598 ; p = 0,000< 0,050. Artinya semakin tinggi kepercayaan diri, maka semakin tinggi penyesuaian sosial, sebaliknya semakin rendah kepercayaan diri, maka semakin rendah penyesuaian sosial. Dengan demikian, maka hipotesis yang diajukan dinyatakan “diterima”. Self-confidence is a very decisive factor in social adjustment because everyone behaves according to their abilities and potential. The problem in Nurul Amaliyah Private High School is the lack of confidence in students which causes the relationship between students to be less well established, therefore the author raises the issue with the title The relationship between self-confidence and social adjustment in Teenagers in class X at the private SMA Nurul Amaliyah Tanjung Morawa. The purpose of the research to be achieved is to find out whether there is a relationship between self-confidence and social adjustment of class X teenagers at the private SMA Nurul Amaliyah Tanjung Morawa. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach using a correlational quantitative type which describes a general approach to research that focuses on interpreting covariations among naturally occurring variables. The data analysis technique is using the Pearson Product Moment correlation formula with the help of the SPSS for windows program. With a total sample of 80 teenagers in class X at the private SMA Nurul Amaliyah and the sampling was carried out by Total Sampling because the population was less than 100. The results of the research conducted showed that the product moment correlation showed that there was a relationship between self-confidence and social adjustment in class X adolescents at Nurul Amaliyah private high school, where r_xy= 0,598; p = 0.000 < 0.050. This means that the higher the self-confidence, the higher the social adjustment, conversely the lower the self-confidence, the lower the social adjustment. Thus, the proposed hypothesis is declared "accepted"
