Air cool air conditioners are very popular in Viet Nam; nevertheless, their Cooling of Performance (COP) is severely reduced in hot weather, resulting in increasing electrical consumption. Moreover, dense and large numbers of air condistioners could cause urban heat island,which increases energy consumption as well as air conditioner's life-time reduction This paper presents measures by using evaporative air-precool in order to cut down power consumption in hot days along with urban heat island. The experimental result shows that electrical consumption could be saved about 15-30% in conjunction with air-precooling's water demand approximately 4-6l/h.
