This research addresses the historical denialism on the subject of Civil-Military Dictatorship in Brazil that began to spread, especially in digital media, due to the current political moment and its extreme right-wing sphere. This situation has entered History classes and, at times, has provoked clashes between students who, influenced by Fake News and other digital sources, question historical truths and find, we teachers, unprepared to address denialism. Reconstructing the memory of the Dictatorship as a period without rights, without individual freedoms, of torture and authoritarian abuse by the State, has become an important social demand, therefore, a duty of the History teacher.
