The present work seeks to relate the theory of justice proposed by John Rawls to the construction of Tax Law norms. Justice is the philosophical concept that gives meaning to the legal system and must be the justification for legislative activity. However, Tax Law distances itself from the task of highlighting its relationship with justice, so that it presents a gap in the application of philosophy to tax matters. In this sense, the present work seeks, through bibliographic research, to analyze John Rawls’ theory of justice, to understand how the application of the terms proposed by the author to the tax normative construction would occur.
