An attempt was made to build a high-speed logic circuit, using tunnel-diodes, to perform digital integration. The maximum input rate was set at 50 Mhz, and costs were kept to a minimum. Although the logic design and individual circuits were perfected, a working high-speed digital integrator was not achieved for a number of reasons. Among these was the extreme sensitivity of the circuits to bins levels, especially the flip-flop circuits whose operation was unreliable. However, an economical and unilateral logic gate was perfected, but the overall circuit was found to be impractical due to unreliability
