Advances in materials science and nanotechnology have allowed the refinements of current drug delivery systems, expected to facilitate the development of personalized medicine (PM). Nanotechnology is the foundation of new generations of nano- andmicro-electromechanical systems for controlled antidiabetic drug delivery.
