This work focuses on electrical conducting fluid within eddy currents induced by an alternating magnetic field. This PhD work emphasizes the coupling between thermal, electromagnetism and hydrodynamic inside a cylinder filled with liquid metal. The vessel fits inside an alternating magnetic field, and a thermal gradient is applied from the top to the bottom wall. We tried to identify and characterize the different convective and temperature regimes. Moreover, we specify the physical parameters that bound each regime's transition.
