This contribution focuses on a new way of dealing with dependency; intergenerational shared home. We want to understand it and find out how it can provide an answer to the need of dependent elders to be accompanied in their daily lives. The various associations for linking young people and elders insist on the importance of the place of shared accommodation in reducing placements in institutions.
