Background: Variation of microalgae cultivation conditions affects biosynthetic processes, which leads to a change in the content and qualitative composition of lipids - the raw material for the biodiesel production. The cultivation of microalgae biomass requires mineral nutrition, to provide it natural sources of salts and chemically synthesized compounds are used. The use of agricultural waste will reduce the anthropogenic burden on the environment, reduce the biofuels cost and will help to solve the problems of alternative energy from renewable raw materials production.
