The essay describes the results of a survey aimed at Italian teachers and carried out during the period of suspension of teaching activities due to the Covid-19 emergency. The survey explores the experience of teaching through the media and the dynamics of digital citizenship education. The results describe the problems encountered by teachers especially related to aspects of school coexistence such as collaboration and active participation, and confirm that the topic of Digital Citizenship is still far from the educational imaginary of the school institution.
