In recent years the environmental impacts of food production are increasingly analyzed through the Life Cycle Assessment approach. These studies require validated, reliable and site-specific databases concerning the agricultural phase. In this study, 16 regionalised inventories related to the cultivation of 1 kg of durum wheat within the main Italian regions were built. The model used for the construction of regionalised inventories es takes into account a regional data from different data sources. For the validation of the inventory data, a test related to the nitrogen balance was carried out in order to verify if the quantities of nitrogen fertilizer reported in the inventory are consistent with the yield of each region.
