In this paper we research teams of agents working together to achieve a common goal. In particular, we are interested in how agents’ knowledge about others’ knowledge affects their efficiency in achieving their goal and how this in turn is affected by their uncertainty about the environment. Knowledge about others’ knowledge is called higher-order knowledge and uncertainty about the environment is formalized as imperfect information. We propose a multi-agent game where the level of higher-order knowledge and imperfect information can be easily changed, the Multi-agent Resource Gathering Game, and simulate the behavior of the agents with different inputs.
