AIM Deficiency of antiquitin (α-aminoadipic semialdehyde dehydrogenase ), an enzyme involved in lysine degradation and encoded by ALDH7A1, is the major cause of vitamin B6 -dependent epilepsy (PDE-ALDH7A1).
