Thesis deals with daughters of Charles IV. and Elizabeth of Pomerania, Anne and Margaret. It focuses on marriage arrangements, which concern these women. Whereas the elder Anne married king of England Richard II., Margaret became a wife of less noble John III. of Zolllern, son of burgrave of Nuremberg. Distinction between these marriages may demonstrate that political interests often exceeded requirements for husband's prestigious origin and that women of the same origin could marry men of entirely different political- social status.
