RANCANG BANGUN KONTROL FREKUENSI PADA PLTMH BERBASIS ELECTRONIC LOAD CONTROLLER MENGGUNAKAN KONTROLER FUZZY-PI

Micro Hydro Power Plant (MHPP) is a type of renewable energy power plant that has potential to continue in Indonesia, especially in areas do not have electric current. A common problem in MHPP is unstable output power frequency when varying load power. Electronic Load Controller (ELC) is a device that is commonly used to overcome frequency instability by balancing the power of generator and consumer load. ELC performance can be optimized by adjusting the ignition angle of the TRIAC more accurately, in order to deliver the power ballast load more precisely. The purpose of this study is to more accurately adjust the ignition angle of the TRIAC to stabilize the output power frequency quickly and accurately. The ignition angle of the TRIAC is controlled by using the Fuzzy-PI controller method. The designed control system is simulated using Matlab Simulink. The simulation results show that the Fuzzy-PI controller is able to optimize ELC work faster and more accurately to restoring frequency stability at the MHPP output power due to load change
