ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN KELUARGA PADA Ny. M DENGAN DIAGNOSA MEDIS DIABETES MELITUS (Studi Kasus di Kecamatan Sukun Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Janti)

Background : Diabetes mellitus is a chronic condition caused by the pancreas not producing enough insulin to regulate blood sugar or when the body cannot effectively use the insulin it produces. In diabetes the sugar that accumulates in the blood cannot enter the cells. This cell failure occurs due to lack of the hormone insulin or functional defects. Therefore, this Final Scientific Paper for Nurses (KIA-N) is to identify nursing care for Mrs. M's family patients in dealing with family health problems with diabetes mellitus. Methods : KIA-N uses a case study research design to find out the problem of nursing care in Mrs. M.'s family with diabetes mellitus. This case study is a series of family nursing processes from assessment, analyzing data, compiling nursing interventions, implementation and evaluation. Collecting data obtained from history taking and physical examination Results: The results of the study found 3 nursing problems, namely Knowledge Deficit about Disease Process Management, non-compliance, ineffective health management. Then given nursing interventions, education of the disease process, support for adherence to treatment programs, health education. In addition, patients are also given non-pharmacological therapy in accordance with Evidence Based Nursing
