IDENTIFIKASI DUKUNGAN KELUARGA PADA PELAKSANAAN MANAJEMEN TERPADU BALITA SAKIT ( MTBS )

Background : Of the many Puskesmas, especially those in East Java, that apply IMCI approach, in reality there are still a few Puskesmas that apply IMCI approach. IMCI seeks to establish a relationship between health workers and families. In the implementation of IMCI, it is rare for fathers to accompany mothers and childhood to carry out examinations so that only mothers receive IMCI counseling, in fact fathers should also receive counseling on how to handle sick childhood at home. The purpose of the study was to determine the family support for childhood in the implementation of integrated management of sick childhood. Methods : The type of research used in this research is descriptive (quantitative) research. The population in this study were all parents of childhood (father and mother) who underwent IMCI examination at the Arjuno Health Center Malang City with a total of 540 childhood. The sampling technique in this study was using accidental sampling, namely sampling based on coincidences that could be found at the time of data collection within 3 days of collection because 25 childhood who underwent IMCI examination were at the Arjuno Health Center. Results : The results showed that for emotional support there were 22 respondents with high support with a percentage of 88%, for moderate support as many as 3 respondents with a percentage of 12% and 0% low support. For information support, 18 respondents had support with a percentage of 72% having high support, for medium support it has 7 respondents with a percentage of 28% and low support with a total of 0 respondents with a percentage of 0%. Instrumental support had high support as many as 16 with a percentage of 64%, for moderate support it had 9 respondents with a percentage of 36% and low support with a number of 0 respondents with a percentage of 0%. For award support it had high support with 17 respondents (68%), for moderate support it had 8 respondents with a percentage of 32% and for low support it had 0 respondents with a percentage of 0%. Family support by using IMCI examination at the Arjuno Health Center conducted by a midwife, had 17 respondents with high support (68 %) with the presence of IMCI. Conclusion : The results of family support in the implementation of integrated management of sick toddlers have very high support for emotional, instrumental, informational and rewarding support
