Background: Chronic kidney disease is a progressive and irreversible kidney function disorder, where the body is unable to maintain metabolism, fluid and electrolyte balance which results in an increase in urea. Chronic kidney disease patients have characteristics that are persistent, incurable, and require treatment in the form of kidney transplantation, peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis, and outpatient treatment for a long period of time. Family support is one of the factors that can affect patients in hemodialysis treatment.
