KOMUNIKASI ANTARBUDAYA DALAM PERNIKAHAN JAWA DAN MADURA (Studi Deskripsi Kualitatif pada Pasangan Suami Istri dari Suku Jawa dan Madura di Tlogowaru, Kecamatan Tajinan, Kabupaten Malang)

This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the ongoing process of intercultural communication in Javanese and Madurese marriages. The research method in this study uses a qualitative approach. Sources of data were taken from residents who live in Tlogowaru, Tajinan District, Malang Regency as well as sources who are bound in different ethnic marriages, namely between the Madurese and the Javanese. Based on the results of data analysis, the conclusions obtained are as follows: 1) intercultural communication in Javanese and Madurese marriages is that husband and wife always respect each other and everything must be discussed in order to get a solution that is agreed upon by both parties, (2) factors Supporters of the intercultural communication process taking place in Javanese and Madurese marriages are steadfast commitments to always put the interests of the family first. While the inhibiting factors for the process of intercultural communication taking place in Javanese and Madurese marriages are because they are not ready to accept different cultures between partners and always prioritize ego and personal interests above common interests, and (3) the value of children in cultural events that occur in Javanese and Madurese marriages is teach children the culture of their parents, the nature of the couple in cultural events that occur in Javanese and Madurese marriages is patient in dealing with all things, and the resolution of conflicts in cultural events that occur in Javanese and Madurese marriages is that conflict resolution is always resolved with a clear mind without any has to do with cultural differences
