PT PAL (INDONESIA) DENGAN DSME (KOREA SELATAN) DALAM PENINGKATAN KAPASITAS INDUSTRI KAPAL SELAM DI INDONESIA

As the largest archipelagic country in the world, Indonesia has a high complexity in terms of maintaining maritime security and making surveillance on maritime security still an obstacle for Indonesia in maintaining its maritime sovereignty. Therefore, it is necessary for Indonesia to be independent, one of which is in terms of meeting defense needs, especially in the maritime sector. With the hope to be able to achieve independence in operating, maintaining, and producing. Through the close relationship that has been established with South Korea, it is hoped that it can assist Indonesia in realizing this independence through the existing defense industry. This study uses the concept of bilateral cooperation and technology transfer using descriptive-qualitative methods in explaining the strategic partnership that exists between Indonesia and South Korea through the construction of submarines and the application of technology to the PT PAL Indonesia shipyard, where some of the technology transfer schemes are implemented. has succeeded in having a positive influence on the sustainability of the technology transfer program
