PEMBERDAYAAN KELOMPOK TANI MENUJU UMK MANDIRI DI DESA TULUNGREJO KOTA BATU

Agriculture is the most important sector because it is a natural resource that has advantages. Agriculture is a driving actor in development development, including to improve the economic development of the community, especially the farming community. In the village of Tulungrejo, agriculture is a very important part of the village development efforts. Development in agriculture aims to improve the welfare of the community. At this time the community is required to maximize their land to meet food needs, so it is necessary to empower farmer groups to develop communities and villages to be empowered and able to produce products from agricultural products independently. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. As for the data collection is done through observation, interviews and documentation. The subjects of this study consisted of the Management of Farmers' Groups, Farmers and the Tulungrejo Village Government. The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the results of the research on empowering farmer groups towards independent MSEs in Tulungrejo Village, Batu City and knowing the supporting and inhibiting factors. The results showed that empowerment of farmer groups was carried out through increasing knowledge and skills in the agricultural sector, increasing independent MSEs or achieving farm productivity, increasing the economic welfare of farming communities, and providing impetus for changes in the agricultural sector towards agribusiness agriculture. The obstacle to empowerment of farmer groups is the lack of synergy between farmer groups and the government in terms of empowerment implementation, or implementation in the field. Although the quality of farmer group resources and facilities in Tulungrejo Village is very adequate, the obstacles to infrastructure caused by the lack of attention from the government have resulted in local farmers experiencing incomplete empowerment or not fully independent
