KAJIAN KETERSEDIAAN MERKURI (Hg) DAN PENGARUHNYA TERHADAP KLOROFIL JATI (Tectona grandis L.) DI HUTAN GAYAM RPH GLUNDENGAN BKPH WULUHAN KPH JEMBER

Illegal mining activities are mining activities that are carried out without a permit. This illegal gold mining can pollute ecosystems in mining areas that have toxicity for living things. The practice of illegal mining also occurs in the Gayam Forest area, Glundengan RPH which is a production forest area managed by Perhutani. Illegal mining carried out in this forestry area can cause ecosystem damage and disruption of teak productivity, so research is carried out to further examine the impacts produced by illegal mining. This study was conducted to determine the level of mercury (Hg) contained in the soil and teak stand organs in the 14 A plot area and determine the influence of mercury (Hg) and environmental factors on teak physiology. Techniques are carried out with the preparatory stage, soil and leaf sample collection stage, then analysis of mercury and chlorophyll content contained in the soil and leaves, as well as observation of environmental factors in the field. The data analysis used was multiple regression in SPSS to determine the effect of mercury availability on soil and leaves as well as temperature and humidity on chlorophyll physiology factors and descriptive analysis on soil factors. The results showed that all environmental factors had an effect but were not significant on chlorophyll. Other influences are caused by factors outside the research that are not researched
