ANALISIS GAYA BAHASA BERDASARKAN LANGSUNG TIDAKNYA MAKNA DALAM KUMPULAN PUISI SERINAI HUJAN KARYA HIMMAH MUFIDAH

Poetry is a literary work that contains the expression of feelings that are poured through diction (choice of words), language style, tone, rhythm, and several other intrinsic elements. The research objectives are, (a) to describe the types of figurative language based on whether or not the meaning is directly in the collection of Serinai Rain poems by Himmah Mufidah, (b) to describe the function of language styles based on whether or not the meanings are direct in the collection of Serinai Rain poems by Himmah Mufidah. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method where descriptive is written or spoken words from individuals and their behavior as a whole. While descriptive qualitative is research that contains data excerpts to provide an overview of the data to be discussed. The data collected in descriptive research is in the form of quotations that are by the theory used. The data source of this research is a collection of poetry series Serinai Rain by Himmah Mufidah. This research technique uses an analytical step. The results of this study indicate that in the collection of poems there is the use of language styles that are easily understood by readers. so that several types of language styles appear based on whether or not the meanings contained in this research are direct. Second, the function of language style based on whether or not the meaning is direct can give an artistic impression and also strengthen the message to the reader because the collection of poems has an implied or explicit message
