The increasing number of air transportation users at Kuala International Airport, however, as well as the large number of requests for air transportation service users, in line with that, the thick condition of the runway pavement must be given great attention. Because the thickness of the pavement is one of the components on the runway that must be evaluated in order to be able to serve the movement of aircraft so as not to cause damage that results in disruption of airport performance. Therefore, planning is carried out to determine whether the pavement thickness and runway length at Kualanamu International Airport that has been built can work well and accommodate aircraft movements that will be served by Kuala Namu International Airport and can accommodate wide-body aircraft. Planning using the Federation Aviation Administration (FAA) method, California Bearing Ratio (CBR). Based on the results of the analysis, it is obtained that the planned aircraft used is a Boeing 747-400F with a length of 3831 m the total thickness of the flexible pavement using the FAA method is 112.64 cm and the total thickness of the runway flexible pavement using the CBR method is 109.19 cm.
