PENGARUH TINGKAT INFORMASI MELALUI MEDIA SOSIAL TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN MASYARAKAT TENTANG VAKSINASI COVID-19

Background : Coronaviruses are viruses infect respiratory, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). The Indonesian government trying to stop the spread of the virus with the COVID-19 vaccine activity. Social media is a forum for disseminating information related to vaccination programs in Indonesia. It is also necessary to know the relationship of information through social media and people knowledge of COVID-19 vaccination in Gending. Objective : This study aims to determine the correlation between information from social media and people knowledge of COVID-19 vaccination in Gending. Methods : This study is an observational study with a crosssectional design . Sampling was done by non-probability sampling with accidental sampling method. Sampling total of 100 responses. SPSS 26.0 was used to analyze the data. The analysis chi square was used to determine the correlation between independent variable and dependent variable. Results and Conclusions :. The level of information through respondent social media about COVID-19 vaccination is 43.0% in the good category, respondents with a fairly good of information are 42.0%, and respondents with a poor level of information are 15.0%. In the results related to the level of knowledge about COVID-19 vaccination, the results of respondents in the good category as 85.0%, respondents with a fairly good of knowledge category are 13.0% and respondents in the poor of knowledge category are 2%. There is a significant relationship between information from social media and knowledge people of covid-19 vaccination in Gending (p=0.000)
